Long while between posts...

Hi, it has been a long while between posts (so much for my good intentions of updating my blog on a weekly basis!) but I have been busy with helping my mother-in-law move over here to Tasmania from Victoria to live, working overtime in my regular job, and general family commitments. However, I have managed to find time in between to do a little scrapbooking, see my layout below. I have also held a Stampin' Up!® workshop with some lovely ladies where I demonstrated the technique of embossing and emboss resist. They made some lovely cards and at the next workshop we will be doing the brayered sky technique. I have taken a photo of a sunrise from my lounge room window which inspired me to replicate it in a card (so watch this space for when I manage to get to this!).

You may have noticed the catalogue picture on the left which links to the Stampin' Up!® online catalogue has changed. This is so that I conform to the guidelines as stipulated by Stampin' Up!® for websites and blogs etc. Feel free to browse the online catalogue and should you wish to order anything please send me an email to maecollins3@iprimus.com.au.

This layout is of my father (who is Dutch, therefore the name Opa) and his latest (19th) grandchild Damian. I just loved the expressions he was making when dad was talking to him and it is nice to scrap a photo series to tell a story. This layout was created using Designer Series Papers, chipboard letters, twill tape, Hodgepodge Hardware pieces, and after covering the letters with DSP I then covered them with Crystal Effects to give them a glossy dimension. I love how I can embrace Stampin' Up!® products into my scrapbooking hobby. Tomorrow I am going to an all day event to scrapbook, so even though I am not organised for it yet, I am sure I will have fun socialising and will even create a few pages - maybe I might even load some to my blog if I am happy with them to share!

A longer post than usual so hopefully this makes up for my lack of updates. Catch up with you all soon via my blog.

Happy stamping!

Oh how cute - Damian is much bigger now - and rolling. It is great to be able to see your creations online. Keep up the great work
