A challenge to myself...

I often participate in the Just Add Ink Challenges and the latest one is simply to "Just Add Easter!" and I have noticed that most are doing an easter egg/basket/rabbit theme and I thought I would challenge myself to step away from the commercial and try to reflect the true meaning of Easter - that Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion, according to the Christian faith.

With this in mind and knowing that I am no artist or brayer expert like Michelle Zindorf (even though I did not end up using a brayer only sponges!) I had an image in my head that I wanted to try to replicate - well I am not to sure that what I created did justice to what I envisaged in my head but here it is...(my daughter thought the sky was good but thought my tomb and rock looked just like two circles sitting on my card, what do you think?)

Oh well, I tried and I have put it up for comment and reflection, being brave to try something different and not to stay in a comfort zone. This one is truly an original from me!

Well done Mae. I realised what it was straightaway - the open and empty tomb. I think it is a very special card and as you say, it focusses beautifully on the true meaning of Easter. Claire xo
