New Cardmaking Kit

Hip Hip Hooray! Make twenty beautiful cards for just $34.95 with the new Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit.

Why shop for cards when you can have 20 beautiful cards ready to go in just minutes? And best of all, they'll be handmade!

The kit contains everything necessary (minus scissors) to create 20 beautiful cards yourself and it also makes the perfect gift for that creative someone you know!

If you need a pair of good scissors you can also get your own Paper Snips from me. Contact me today to order this lovely new product (and your scissors too!).

This week we have a colour combination for you over at Just Add Ink, put together by our lovely Nikki.

This combination had a few challenged, however, I thought it would make a lovely wedding card. So that is the point I started from and then of course I had to find some lovely DSP to go with it and off I went.

Here is my card...

The inside of my card...

I encourage you to have a go with this colour combination and don't forget to share your creation with us over at Just Add Ink, and don't forget to check out the other DT's inspiration for this week's challenge.

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by.

JAI#203 - Sketch Challenge

Just popping in to share my card for the latest Just Add Ink challenge - a sketch put together by the very talented Paula.

I went with a masculine theme for my card this week as I am often in need of one and don't have as many on hand.

Here is my card...

Pop on over to JAI and check out the other entries for inspiration and I hope you are inspired to join in the fun this week too!

Not sure what is planned for my weekend this week, but hopefully it might include some time in my craft room. What are you planning?

Sharing what we love...

I love it when I can catch up with a friend, not only to chat but also to craft! Yesterday Julie Leeper and I managed to catch up, trying since before Christmas, to socialise and of course to stamp! We are both Stampin' Up! demonstrators and we love to share our love of the product and to give each other ideas and inspiration.

I shared how I made the lovely box and bow for 4 tealights that I have recently shared on my blog here and here. Julie enjoyed learning a new box design and how to use the Envelope Punch Board to make the bow as well.

Julie shared with me her card and little box featuring the new Spiral Flower Die and the Envelope Liner Framelits Dies.

Here is what I made. First, the beautiful card using Core'dinations cardstock to get that sanded look on the flower and the background using the lovely Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.

Secondly, the cute little box that holds two sweet chocolates, made using the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies and again the lovely Spiral Flower Dies. This time using Very Vanilla cardstock and sponging the edges with Rich Razzleberry ink.

If you want to book a workshop with me to recreate these items yourselves (I know Julie is happy for me to demonstrate these items to my customers) then contact me today or you can order the supplies I used from my Online Store open 24/7, here are some of them.

129379 - Spiral Flower Die

129379 - Envelope Punch Board
132218 - Envelope Liners Framelits Dies
127751 - Fancy Fold Embossing Folder

A few of these items I do not currently have but I can see them being put on my next order! Including the lovely greetings stamp set - Perfectly Penned.

128703 - Perfectly Penned
Thanks for a lovely day yesterday Julie and I hope you are having a happy birthday today!

JAI #202 - Just Add...Stripes

Friday again and that means another Just Add Ink challenge. This week's challenge is to Just Add....Stripes! This challenge was suggested by Paula and it inspired me to participate when I had a creative day recently.

Today as you read this I will be in Victoria helping my sister celebrate her milestone 50th birthday. Happy birthday Jannette! It will be good to have some family time again, although only for a few days.

Here is my card...

I really liked how my flower popped on this card with those beautiful soft stripes behind. I just love DSP!

Have fun with this challenge and don't forget to pop on over to the JAI blog to see what other inspiration the DT have for you this week.

With Love

With Valentine's Day not far away, many of the challenges have a 'love' theme, so I thought I would have a go at creating a quick and easy card that I can enter into several challenges as well as having an easy design for a workshop.

Here is my card...

Mae's Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Field Flowers
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Clear Blocks, Snail Adhesive

To get my smudged effect behind my flower I simply inked up a Clear Block with Pretty in Pink ink and swiped it across my card. So you see they are not just used to mount stamps but they can be used directly themselves...I can see a brick wall effect possibly for a future card, can't you?

The challenges I am going to enter this card for are:

The Card Concept - Use Monochromatic Pink - not sure if I would call this card Clean and Simple (because it was easy to make, but it may need more white space for that description) or it could be a Clean and Graphic card...what do you think?

Perfectly Rustics - Show the Love

Just Add Ink #201 - Colour Challenge

Yay for Friday and a long weekend here!

Over at Just Add Ink this week we have a Colour Challenge brought to us by the lovely Kim. It sure inspired the Design Team with an array of different cards.

When I saw these colours I thought of the beach or water with a splash of red some where. So what better way to blend these colours for a beach theme than with my brayer. That is where I started and then I had to think of an image to use that I could add my splash of colour and so out came a retired stamp set and I was set.

Maybe the fact that my craft room looks out over the beach also gave me inspiration and a sense of serenity that I think this card achieves.

I paper pieced the dress and hat to add the splash of red and added a little bit of red ribbon to match. I enjoyed using my brayer and creating this card, so much that I continued on and decorated the inside a little with some of that lovely spotted DSP.

Mae's Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Summer by the Sea (retired), Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Real Red
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Sahara Sand, Brights DSP
Accessories: Brayer, White Gel Pen, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Snail Adhesive

The DT have made some lovely and varied cards to provide you with inspiration so don't forget to pop on over to the JAI blog and check them out and then join in the fun!

What have you got planned for the weekend? Mine is unplanned as yet, but hopefully relaxing and maybe some crafting. Whatever you do have fun this weekend.
