*NEW* Occasions Catalogue - Request your FREE copy!

Christmas is fast approaching, but the New Year also brings with it a NEW Occasions Catalogue and Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-a-Bration promotion.

Innovative tools, beautiful new stamps, papers and sparkling embellishments, all to keep us creating well into 2016.

Would you like a copy?

I’ve ordered copies of both and will be sending them out in the coming weeks. If you are in Australia and don’t already have a demonstrator I’d be happy to help you out. Just email me your request!

Of course, if you have ordered from me in the past few months then you can expect your priority copy very soon.

Anyone ordering through my Online Store during December will also receive a priority copy and don't forget to use my Hostess Code 9ZRVSWVJ  before finalising your order.  Note: if your own order is $250+ don't use the hostess code so then you can receive all the hostess benefits for yourself!

"We haven't had a night out for so long. Let's plan a craft night! Call some friends and I'll bring a cute project to make! Some great new products are coming in January, and I can't wait to show everyone how fun they are."  Book your spot for January in my diary today!

Got your Christmas gifts sorted?

If you haven't got all your Christmas gifts sorted, or want to buy yourself something you would like, why not consider the gift of Stampin' Up! products.

Order NOW through my Online Store to have your items here before Christmas.

Use the Hostess Code [ 9ZRVSWVJ ] when ordering for your chance to share in the hostess benefits generated from the total of orders placed between now and Sunday, 13 December 2015, when I will close the workshop orders to hopefully get my preorder items here before Christmas (see next post for more news!).

Note: if your personal order is $250+ then don't use the Hostess Code as you will then get the hostess benefits all for yourself!

80th birthday

This coming week my father will be turning 80 and so I thought I should make him an extra special birthday card.

Again to find inspiration, as I haven't been creating for a while now, I searched Pinterest and found a lovely idea from Amanda (The Craft Spa). She had easy instructions to follow (I used the imperial ones) and I used a retired DSP paper pack Mocha Morning. I felt this colour combination would work well for a significant birthday and a masculine card, using Early Espresso as the card base. Having a pack of 12x12 Neutral Cardstock also made it easy to follow the imperial measurements without any trouble.

When I went to photograph my card I found it difficult to take a shot with it fully closed, so I ended up adding a piece of ribbon to keep it closed. I don't think it makes it too feminine.

I definitely need to get my light box set up as these photos are not the best, sorry about that.

I hope he likes the card and now I need to find a suitable gift to go with it!

JAI #288 - Sketch Challenge

When in need of inspiration as I have said before the Just Add Ink blog is the place to go! I have the need to make a couple of cards and so the latest sketch at JAI was a good starting point.

My first card (we will see if I get the others made soon) is a baby card for my niece's first born...Thomas. It pipped my grandson at the post...coming a few weeks earlier than their expected due date and my grandson Theodore coming a week late.

I stayed with a monotone colour scheme using Coastal Cabana and of course it is nice to personalise these type of cards with their name.

My photos are not the best as I don't have my light tent set up, having had to pack up my craft room for visitors recently, and being at work etc it is still not back to full use.

Anyway, it was fun to create again and to get my fingers inky and of course joining in with the JAI sketch challenge.

JAI #283 - Sketch Challenge

Well it has been quite awhile since I have been apart of the Just Add Ink Design Team, let alone joined in with a challenge. So after getting my kits prepped and packed for my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack this Sunday, and rather than tidy up the mess or get the stamps/inks/tools ready, I decided to continue getting creative and join in the latest Sketch Challenge at Just Add Ink.

Here is the sketch they had for their latest challenge...
As I had Christmas paper and stamps etc around why not continue on and make another Christmas card, you need lots right?

Here is my card using the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper (in the current Holiday Catalogue), fussy cutting a poinsettia and coordinating that with Real Red cardstock and one of the words from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies (you can bundle and save with the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set in the catalogue).

Did you notice that I used some Crystal Effects to add some shine and dimension to the centre of the poinsettia and also the word Merry? Don't look too closely as it hadn't quite dried yet, but I needed to take my photo and get it uploaded before the challenge ended, lol.

I also decorated the inside of my card with a strip of the DSP and a greeting from the Merry Everything stamp set (in the current Stampin' Up! catalogue).

This team is inspiring with their weekly challenges and creative projects. If you have been struggling like me to find your mojo lately then the Just Add Ink blog is one place to start to find it and lots of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing!

Welcome a baby girl...Elodie

No not my grandchild...although that one is due in the next few weeks too (and is expected to be a dude! so colour style of cards will not I will have to create another).

This latest arrival is a beautiful little baby girl of a close friend of my daughter's and it is always a great reason to get into the craft room and create when a new baby is born.

I have been a bad blogger of late and a very poor excuse for a crafter as I haven't made many things in my craft room....other than a mess of financial paperwork, office supplies and disorganised craft supplies! This needs to be organised and sorted in a week as I have my traditional Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on and the ladies who are coming will need some clear space to create in.

However, I did manage to make not just another crafting mess but two baby girl cards, using the stamp sets Fox & Friends and Baby Prints (both retired but always ones I love to use).

Here are my two cards, I even decorated the insides for this special arrival...

Here is the other one...

The photos are not to great as my photo tent is packed away at the moment, but I think you can see why I enjoyed making these, and of course I took inspiration from other card designers on the web. It is always where I go to to find my mojo!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some inspiration here on my blog too.

Wonders will never cease!

I wondered how long it would take me to get back in to my craft room and to create...not that it was an original design...there are many great ideas out there in blog land to inspire you and to CASE.

How I could create in my room with the chaos that is here...I prefer to have a clear space and one that is at least partly sorted...oh well, at least I managed to put together a card for this coming weekend.

Here is my card using the stamp set Butterfly Basics and the lovely Big Shot dies Butterfly Thinlits. My colour combination is inspired by the Colour Coach and it is Basic Gray, Island Indigo, Garden Green and Elegant Eggplant.

I wonder how long it will be before the next card is made or a blog post created...especially with the upcoming tax season so close!

If you are still managing to drop by my blog, without any regular posts, thanks for the patience and your visit. Have a lovely week.

Stampin' Up! - Retiring List

21 April-2 June 2, 2015 (or while supplies last)

With a new catalogue coming soon, it’s time to say goodbye to some stamps and accessories from the 2014–2015 annual catalogue. Don’t worry, though you have an opportunity to order your favourites with discounts up to 50% off retail. Retiring products will only be available until 2 June, or while supplies last, so now's a great time to order them before they're gone (sorry for the late notice with this but some are most likely gone!). We're also including the My Digital Studio list, with all products discounted 30 percent off retail.

*Note: Why are these products retiring on 2 June? Since all catalogue launches will now be aligned globally, the current 2014-2015 annual catalogue will end when the new annual catalogue launches on 2 June 2015, rather than its original end date of 30 June 2015. This includes retiring product within the catalogues, as well as the print catalogues themselves

Check out the retiring list here (sorry that I will not be online enough to keep this list updated). Just check them out via my online store here, where you can also place your orders through.

The 2015 Occasions Catalogue is also available through my online store here.

2015 Occasions Catalogue

This has been out for a while now, but I thought I would still put it in a post here in case you haven't stumbled across it yet!

I made it here again!

I made it to my blog again, I can't believe it! As I mentioned in my last post when I made a birthday card for my husband, my daughter's birthday was not too far away, so I again got my inks and stamps out!

I actually got to ink up a set I bought early this year plus, got to use my butterfly thinlit dies...which I had been wanting to do since they arrived. Life just got in the way!

Anyway, without any further ado or excuses here is the card I made for my daughter whose birthday is tomorrow.

I may spend a little time now while I have a spare moment to try and update my blog and some of the sidebar links etc as well as put up the latest SU! info...although my time as a demonstrator I think is numbered as I haven't been active in this area for a little while now.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Way too long!!

It has been way too long since I last posted here on my blog....6 months actually! It has also been that long since I really put ink to card as well, but what better reason than my husband's birthday tomorrow.

As I was lacking inspiration and mojo I decided to browse the web for inspiration and CASE a card. The card I CASED was this one here and I kept mine pretty close to the original only changing the embossing folder to the Fancy Fan one as it reminds me of shells and the size of my squares are a little smaller as I used a punch to get them the same size. I also decided to mount my front panel onto some Midnight Muse cardstock and decorate the inside as well.

Here is my card...

Well I can't guarantee that this is the start of some new posts but I do have my daughter's birthday coming up in a couple of weeks and I should make a card for her too. With all my craft supplies I can't imagine buying a card to give them.

If you have managed to pop by thanks and I am sorry for the lack of posts and inspiration lately.

Enjoy your weekend.
