Just Add Ink #441..."Inspiration Photo"

Well in some ways I am liking this not being at my regular job two days/week and home to support Gary more, as it is giving me a little more time to "pop" into my craft space, and get a little 'creative me time' every day or so.

Lately, I seem to be enjoying playing with both embossing paste and butterflies, so I thought why not combine the both for the latest Just Add Ink Challenge #441, which was an inspirational photo...

You can take from the picture whatever elements jump out at might be the cupcakes, the lovely soft colours or the swirls. For me it was the icing (embossing paste!) and the colour of the bottom left cupcake (Mint Macaron!) and so that is what inspired this card.

I love the fact that the Botanical Butterfly DSP has both a coloured and black-and-white side that can be used in our projects.

To get the colour of the embossing paste I mixed a couple of drops of Mint Macaron ink refill into the paste before swiping it over the mask.

I think I had better try to move away from butterflies for some of my next projects as some of the products being used have been so popular that they have gone on the 'low inventory' list and will soon be unorderable as stock is not likely to be available again until mid-late March. I do know, however, that the Butterfly Punch will be coming out in the next Annual Catalogue so it is not all bad news.

If you are like me and sometimes struggle for inspiration then I suggest you follow the Just Add Ink girls and their weekly challenges or some of the other challenge sites as they are a good starting point when you have lost your mojo or need a starting point, the catalogues themselves also provide lots of inspiration and ideas, so make sure you always have our latest ones!
