Rectangle Stitched Framelits and Occasions Catalogue 2019

Today I wanted to pop in and share with you one of my favourite products from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue (that will end 3 June and retiring items will be coming out soon!) that is the lovely Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (Item #148551 found here in my Online Store) and some beautiful projects created with them from the catalogue.

Although, I don't have any of my own personal projects to share here, I wanted to show also how our beautiful catalogues can inspire your creativity and give you projects to recreate.

There are 13 dies in the set, and one of the things I love MOST about them, is the the stitching is on both the inside and outside of the cut out frame. So both the negative and positive image that is created with these dies has the stitching effect around them. The largest rectangle is 13.3cm x 19.8cm. There are so many versatile shapes for layers, featuring stamped panels, and even focusing on your sentiments.

Here is a selection of cards featured in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue that utilises the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies and that you can recreate yourself with a few extra products.

This card uses the To Have and To Hold stamp set and with the Wood Textures DSP cut out using one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies it puts a lovely focus on the image with the Floral Romance DSP on the base of the card front. Isn't it just a beautiful design?

The next card uses two stitched panels, both raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals for effect, where the main Gingham Gala DSP panel has the floral image from Vibrant Vases stamp set stamped directly onto the DSP. The top white rectangle panel then showcases the greeting and extra flowers. A piece of soft Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon adds a lovely touch with some randomly placed sequins and die cut green leaves.

All three projects below also feature some rectangular stitched shapes to add texture and focus to various elements. The Mini Pizza Box project has a piece of stamped vellum cut out with the stitched rectangle dies and card to the right has a main panel framing the greeting. The piece that would have been cut out of the middle can be used for a different project.

The cake birthday card has three different sized rectangle panels placed strategically to give focus on each of the stamped images and texts. A simple yet effective layout.

How beautiful is the Fable Friends card below? The stitched rectangle frame gives focus to the beautifully coloured image and below is an intricate flower cluster die cut from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies to draw you eye to that side of the card. This all sits atop a panel of Gingham Gala DSP which is a very versatile paper pack for many a card as can be seen in a few samples shared here.

Are you a dog or cat lover? Then the Happy Tails and Nine Lives stamp sets are just for you!

Again a stitched rectangular panel puts a focus on the beautifully stamped, coloured and punched out cat and dog images. No fussy cutting required just choose our Dog Builder Punch and our Cat punch for some perfectly and quickly punched out dogs and cats!

So as you can see not only are our beautiful catalogues full of inspiration and project ideas, but the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (available here in my Online Store) are a MUST HAVE in your BigShot die collection!!
