Geared Up To Celebrate!

I was recently asked to make a masculine birthday card and so of course I grabbed my Geared Up Garage stamp set which I have enjoyed creating with before. The recipient was very happy with this card and felt the birthday man will like it too.

The background was made first by embossing my brick wall and then using Versamark ink and both white and silver embossing powder heat embossing a shiny and patchy effect on the wall. I then tore the side of the cardstock for a more rugged appearance.

I also grunged (is that a word, it is now!) up the gears by sponging some Soft Suede ink on to the Crumb Cake die cut gears and then clear embossing them. A few smaller ones I did not emboss but left them plain.

The car I coloured with my Stampin' Blends a mounted it up with some dimensionals above the greeting. I added a oil can both on the front and a different one inside the card which I also decorated with some retired designer series paper.

I loved creating both feminine and masculine cards as well one's for special occasions, like birthdays, weddings, engagements and of course new babies!
