Simple Stamping or Step It Up!

The Brightly Gleaming Suite in the new 2019 Holiday Catalogue was on my preorder and I have just loved creating with it. I love how quickly a card can come together simply by using a piece of designer series paper. (So this month's Buy 3 Get 1 Free offer on select DSP from the Annual Catalogue is a great deal!).

Many of us are either time poor or lack the creative inspiration to create elaborate cards, or can be intimated by the beautiful cards created by very talented artists. However, with some simple stamping just using ink, stamps and paper you can create your own beautiful cards.

This card below is just that #simplestamping using some basic Night of Navy cardstock for the card base and adding a layer of dsp from the Brightly Gleaming DSP pack. I then cut a banner using our Banner Triple Punch in Very Vanilla and stamped a flourish from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set.
I stamped in Night of Navy on Very Vanilla cardstock a couple of the baubles from the same stamp set and punched them out with the coordinating Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack. These I raised off the card with some dimensionals and then added the stamped Merry Christmas greeting and voila my card was done!

If #simplestamping is not your thing and you like to add the extra "bells & whistles" then the next card I made, using the same design and layout, is just for you!

On this card I added a banner of Copper Foil under the Very Vanilla banner and added a strip of the coordinating ribbon in this Brightly Gleaming Suite (I don't think you can say Merry Christmas too many times on your card can you?) and then added some of the coordinating Star Design Elements for more bling!

When you have all the products that coordinate together you can easily go from #simplestamping to #avidstamping without too much extra effort or thought.

Which card is your preference? The #simplestamping design or the one with added bling?

I think both of these cards could easily be mass produced if you needed a bulk of christmas card created quickly.

With this current month's DSP special I might have to go recreate this design using some of the papers from the Annual Catalogue....I challenge you to do the same and share them with me in the comments below.
