Living near the beach myself, and always eager to improve my brayering and sponging skills, I decided to make a water scene and really enjoyed making a reflection of my main image...what do you think?
I had to wait several days to photograph my card in the spot that I thought most appropriate, on our balcony, because it has been so windy and rough this past week that my card would have just kept falling off the balcony before I could get the photo taken. As I was so happy with my picture I didn't want to crop it down to a standard card size, I left it as a larger card.

A beautiful, restful scene Mae! Your brayering and sponging do not need improving - they are perfect! I can just see myself on that yacht right now ♥
This is just gorgeous
Mae, I just love your card. Absolutely fabulous.
What do I think? I think this is absolutely sensational. You have really 'hit the nail on the head' with the inspiration challenge.
What a great male card. I love how you reflected the boat. And can I just say, what an amazing view you have from your balcony! Theresa x

Mae your card is absolutely stunning!!!
I love your brayering/sponging and the reflection is just wonderful. Brilliant work!
Mae, you card AND your balcony are spectacular!!!! Your sky is so incredibly well done! How did you get the reflection of the sail on the water???
Thanks for all the lovely comments. Here is how I made the reflection on the water...
I made the boat reflection by first stamping it on to my Stamp-a-ma-jig sheet and then quickly turning it over and running my brayer over the back to impress the image on to my card, which made it lighter than if I had of inked it straight on to my cardstock. Then using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up my main image, I reinked my stamp of the boat and stamped it directly on to my cardstock positioned just above the reflection. Ta daa! It works a treat, you should try it.
I was pushed for time to do my post which is why the details are not there. Maybe when I have some time I will do a photo tutorial on how I did the reflection...but don't hold your breath waiting at the moment, life is rather busy!
in reality all you really have to do is look out that window dont ya - an ya get a mirror image - very nice indeed! Andrea & da dogs!
This is so incredible! Thank you for the instructions! ;)
