Anyway, this post is about the latest challenge at Just Add Ink which is a sketch challenge. I decided to move away from my usual card project and create a scrapbook layout for this week's challenge. I even dug deep and brought out some old photos of my 18th birthday celebrations to put on the page. Not sure what I think of my fashion sense back then or the fact that I have indicated my age here by doing this layout!
Here is the sketch...
Here is my layout using a 12x12 sheet from the new Timeless Portrait DSP...
As you can see I flipped the sketch and used it as my inspiration to create a timeless layout. Hop on over to the Just Add Ink blog and see what other projects the Design Team have made using the sketch as their inspiration. Then join in the fun and upload your project based on the given sketch.
Thanks for stopping by and I will see if I can get another post in before the next JAI challenge, not holding my breath though!

Love how you have used this DSP page.....a perfect Scrapbook page to remember and enjoy forever!
What a great take on the sketch Mae; a lovely page that captures a very special occasion. I did laugh at your comment on your dress sense (very fashionable for the time - I remember, LOL), and revealing your age.
What a great year to turn 18! We must be of the same "vintage"! Love the layout & the photos. Wasn't the fashion awesome in those days!

Great sketch Mae I know what you mean about those ol eighties photos my fashion sense consisted of fluro, big belts and lots of polyester LOL
What a great idea to mix these important photos with that really reflective DSP image. Works really well Mae and looks good

PS: You;ve made me curious as to what I was wearing in 1983 will have to check the family photos next time I visit my parents :)
What a lovely way to capture memories of your special day, l love the effect of extending the shadow at the bottom, very effective.
Great page Mae.
I remember having a very similar dress to yours at about the same time, but mine was a mainly red plaid. We must have both had great taste! lol
Oh how brave you are to delve back into the 80's. I love your scrap page, Mae.
