Crafting before Cleaning!!

Well I had a lovely day out with my husband today, in the beautiful spring sunshine, getting some supplies for his gardening, lunch out sharing a platter at Wicked Cheese and then finishing off with a long walk on the beach.

Coming home I thought I should really do some cleaning....but NO my craft room was calling instead and especially after just sitting down and watching a short video (love those!) by Sam Hammond Donald aka Pootles No.1 Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the UK...I just had to make these cute little bags.

Each bag was made from just one strip of 6" x 12" designer series paper, some scoring, cutting and sticking, and some decorating to finish them off! Easy as that...just check out her video here!

  • Paper – 6" x 12″ (15 cm x 30.5 cm)
  • Score on the LONG side at 1.5", 5.75", 7.25", 11.5″ (4 cm, 14.5 cm, 18.5 cm, 29 cm)
  • Score on the SHORT side at 1.5″ (4 cm)
Our Simply Scored tool is a great addition to your craft equipment for flawless scoring. You can create multiple scored projects or projects with many score lines, like the bags above. Just put place markers at the measurements you need, then score. I made two bags in just minutes!

The other thing Sam got excited about was the new Delicata Metallic Inks (now added to my next order!) which the Copper Ink Pad goes so well with this Brightly Gleaming Suite of coordinating products.

As I don't have those inks yet (don't forget to order ink refills with each ink pad!) I created my Christmas baubles out of the coordinating papers and a bauble using the stunning Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and some copper foil. No stamped greeting required when using the beautiful 1/2" (1.3 cm) Classic Weave Ribbon with the words "Merry Christmas" printed in copper on Very Vanilla woven ribbon.

For anyone who has or wants to (still a little time left) join my Holiday Catalogue Paper Share that is the size I cut my shares 6" x 12", so if you don't want to make cards or use them on page layouts, then these cute 3D bag projects are just the thing! Full details on my blog post here. I'll extend registration and payment for my paper share until the end of the weekend, 8 pm Sunday, 1 September! So register with me today!!

Below is  the list of products that I used to make these bags and I have also included the shop links for the new Delicata Metallic Inks if you are interested to order....available from 4 September, when the new Holiday Catalogue starts.
