Social Stamping - Birthdays in Isolation

Image may contain: text

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop organised by the beautiful Kelly Kent. Kelly put together this weekly group, where we can hop in or out as our situation dictates, to help keep connected and stamp together in this time of social distancing and for those in isolation. I joined in an earlier blog hop and have decided to join in this week's too. The theme of this week's blog hop is Birthday's in Isolation.

You might have come here from Elizabeth Gross' blog, or you might have started here, no matter which I hope you enjoy hopping around with us.

I was hoping to get a project done for this blog hop last Sunday, unfortunately for me this didn't go as planned, and then the week just went by. So instead of coming up with something original and with a limited time today to create, I decided to find a card to case from the current Mini Catalogue. On page 16 there is a beautiful card promoting the Forever Blossoms Bundle and that is the one I decided to recreate.

I started of with a card base of Petal Pink and added a panel of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is very pretty with the champagne foil accents. I embossed a piece of vellum with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it on an angle to my card front.

On a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I stamped in Sahara Sand the flower stamp image. I was intending to try the no-line watercolouring technique, however, I decided I needed more practice at it. I went back to my favourite colouring mediums the Stampin' Blends and got an effect I was happy with.

I finish laying out my card design as the one in the Mini Catalogue and added a few randomly placed sequins to finish off the card. There are so many beautiful projects in the catalogues to inspire you and along this blog hop too.

Now hop on along to Lou Kitzelman's blog to see her project for more inspiration.

If you get lost along the way then pop on over to Kelly's post here for the full list and to see the one's you have missed along the way.
